Tata Nano’s Bookings Opening Next Month

Tata Motors will be opening as many as 100 retail outlets next month to enable booking for the Nano.

Our dealers will open these special, retail counters to push sales,” Tata Motors managing director Ravi Kant said in an interview.

Tata officials have already started interacting with their dealers, updating them on the proposed bookings, dates for which have not been finalised.

“Supplies could start from August,” Kant said.

There are chances that the group could tie-up with a financial institution for bankrolling those keen on the product. Company sources said talks have started with both HDFC, Reliance Capital and ICICI. In addition, financing for the car will also be available from Tata Motors Finance.

Facebook Launches Chat

Logged onto Facebook a little while ago and noticed that they have launched the chat feature. Apologies if this is old news but i have only been hearing about it and saw it for the first time today.

Green dots indicate friends online and there is a online friends menu as well. The best option is that you can make yourself invisible, something which i shall do often!

100 Posts

The blog completed a 100 posts yesterday with “Ad networks to get more money” and while i am happy to have reached this milestone i am aware (and have been told so many times) that the frequency of writing is just not what it used to be . I accept this criticism and promise to strive for more regularity in my posts from now on.

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement one has received. I have also noticed that the majority of the hits have been , other than on internet related posts ,  on travel, and keeping this is mind i shall try and build up this category even more.

Ad network’s to get more money

There’s good news for ad-networks across the globe. A recent study conducted by Collective Media reports that 75% of the interactive agencies and advertisers who took the survey are looking at increasing their allocations to ad network by 5% while the remaining 25% said they would be looking at increasing it by 15%.

While the research is skewed towards the US , if trends are to believed then India should be looking at something similar. It will provide a respite while at the same time a further need for innovation within this domain in India. The Indian landscape is getting a bit crowded withe the number of players already on the scene though , all things taken into consideration, there are but 2-3 which can provide the scale and reach advertisers are looking for.
